Project-specific activities in this country

  • The Galician funding criteria for drug prevention services were used in the development of the EDPQS.
  • As part of the EDPQS Phase I project, in 2010, the Galician Health Service conducted an online survey in Spain.

Examples of EDPQS use in this country

A specific Working Group is dealing with the implementation of quality criteria on Drug Demand Reduction (Prevention, Treatment, Risk and Harm reduction, and Social Integration) in Spain, within the framework of the National Action Plan. The EDPQS are one of the key documents informing the Working Group’s activities regarding the prevention area. The EDPQS champions on this activity are Sonia Moncada and Jesús Morán. Project partners

The Spanish Government Delegation for the National Plan on Drugs – Delegacion del Gobierno para el Plan Nacional sobre Drogas (www.pnsd.msssi.gob.es) was an associate partner in the EDPQS Phase II project between 2013 and 2015. The Consejeria de Sanidad – Servicio Gallego de Salud (Xunta de Galicia) (CS-SERGAS) (www.sergas.es) was a project partner in the EDPQS Phase I project between 2008 and 2010.

Informal collaboration with the Cooperation Programme on Drugs Policies between Latin America and the European Union – Programa de Cooperación entre América Latina y la Unión Europea en Políticas sobre Drogas (COPOLAD).
